If you’re considering an industrial-style loft venue for your wedding, then you’re in good luck because Chicago has a TON of amazing options. Personally I love photographing these venues and they are some of my favorite locations overall. If you’re looking for an Instagram ready, rustic, yet modern industrial wedding venue in Chicago, then here are some of the top spots I think you should be considering.
Lacuna Lofts
So first on the list is Lacuna Lofts who are probably best known for their rooftop Skydeck which has an absolutely amazing panorama view of the Chicago skyline. Like most of the venues on this list, Lacuna is a great all-in-one venue that’s perfect for hosting both your ceremony and reception.
Capacity: up to 150 Seated / 250 Cocktail Reception / 250 Ceremony

Artifact Events
Next up is Artifact Events, which is actually two venues in one. They have a North space as well as a South that can handle simultaneous (but completely separate) events. Their north space consists of a large, open, and stunning atrium that spans four floors.
North Capacity: Up to 300 seated / 500 cocktail
They also have a second South space consisting of two large indoor areas – the Lounge and Ravenswood Room. So, the Lounge room has large glass doors that open up to a beautiful courtyard containing Roman style pillars, perfect for any ceremony.
South Capacity: up to 200 seated / 400 cocktail
Salvage One
So, Salvage One is where to go if you’re truly looking for something unique. That’s due to it’s rustic, industrial look combined with an eclectic mix of furnishings that are perfect for unique and memorable photos. With both outdoor and indoor ceremony options they can accommodate any season or weather plans. The outdoor ceremony space is a beautiful courtyard with ivy covered brick walls that are classic Chicago. Also, the indoor receptions space is complete with more brick, wood floors, and some more unique and stylized furnishings.
Capacity: up to 250 guests
Firehouse Chicago
This is one of my favorites, a classic Chicago firehouse turned event space, complete with a fire pole! Firstly, the main floor contains the primary event space and features vintage glazed brick, high ceilings, and vintage touches all around. Then it’s capped off with the impressively large, wooden double doors that used to make way for the fire trucks. Once you head outside there is a garden space perfect for smaller outdoor ceremonies. Finally, the upstairs area contains a bridal suite that’s perfect for getting ready.
Capacity: up to 80 seated

Gallery 1028
Exposed brick, rustic wood floors, and wood ceilings – Gallery 1028 is rustic and industrial perfection. With two large, main rooms hosting your ceremony and reception here is a breeze. The smaller of the two rooms has a large walk up bar perfect for cocktail hour. The larger room is ideal for your ceremony and reception.
Capacity: up to 250 guests

Bridgeport Art Center
This is another venue that has two separate spaces, each one uniquely beautiful. The first is the Skyline Loft. It has a large open floor plan with an absolutely stunning view of the Chicago skyline – hence the name! Wood floors, wood ceilings, and exposed brick throughout provide an authentic industrial look and feel.
Capacity: up to 600 seated / up to 900 cocktail
The second space is their Sculpture Garden. The indoor section also consists of an open floorplan with wood floors and brick throughout, however the unique aspect of this space is the large, mostly covered outdoor courtyard & garden. This is the perfect spot for an outdoor ceremony that’s still protected from the weather with copious amounts of natural light.
Capacity: up to 550 seated / up to 900 cocktail

Ovation Chicago
Another super unique venue that we’re lucky to have here in Chicago! Like most of the venues on this list, Ovation sports the aesthetics you expect – exposed brick, wood rafters, finished concrete, and industrial metal accents. But what really makes Ovation unique are it’s details! The large venue length skylight, state of the art sound system, video wall, and a 1950 Rolls Royce to chauffeur you around the city in style!
Capacity: up to 200 seated / 250 cocktail

The Joinery
With a previous life as millwork shop The Joinery breaths new life as one of Logan Square’s and Chicago’s best event venues. The main space has an open floor plan with a large atrium style skylight above, flooding the space with natural light by day. Antique furniture and vintage patterns provide character and unique backdrops for your day and photography.
Capacity: up to 150 seated
Walden Chicago
The Walden consists of two floors plus rooftop view for photos. The second floor is typically used for hosting your ceremony (there’s an elevator) and aso contains some spaces for getting ready or hiding away. The main event space on the first floor typically hosts your reception.
Capacity: Main Event Space – up to 275 seated with dance floor; Second Floor – up to 250 seated ceremony

City Hall Events
City Hall, an event space inspired by Chicago’s classic municipal architecture, sport a large, open floor plan with high ceilings. The building’s industrial past continues on with it’s exposed brick, cement floor, and metal hardware and accents. One of the unique aspects I love here is the large marble topped bar that really ties in the 1920’s feel to this venue.

Morgan Manufacturing
Morgan MFG is blank slate for designing your perfect wedding. With 32,000 square feet of renovated industrial space there’s no shortage of possibilities. Featuring plenty exposed brick, concrete, and steel providing an industrial feel while tall ceilings, large windows, and modern touches provide a sense of elegance.
Room 1520
Room 1520 consists of 4,000 square feet of open and flexible event space. Painted brick wall preserve the spaces industrial roots while providing a bright and airy environment. A separate bar and cocktail hour lounge space makes transitioning from ceremony to reception seamless. Each rental includes are large list of included amenities as well.

City View Loft
City View Loft consists of two spaces in one building. Upstairs you’ll find City View Loft itself, consisting of a 4,000 square foot open, timber frame loft space. Warm and welcoming with great views and perfect for your reception.
Downstairs directly below City View Loft you’ll find Kitchen Chicago. This space is 3,400 square foot with a bridal suite, bar area, and elevators. When used in conjunction with City View Loft above this space works perfectly for hosting your ceremony and cocktail hour.

Ravenswood Event Center
The main events space at Ravenswood Event Center is the Billboard Showroom. Named as such since the building used to be used as a workshop for creating large billboards in the early 1900s. Today the space showcases vintage signs as well as classic sports cars.
Ravenswood also boasts their one of a kind atrium and loft space on the second floor. Rustic wood flooring, exposed brick and timber beams as well as massive windows providing incredible views of Chicago. The loft area can host 180 seated guest easily.

The third floor also opens out to and outdoor rooftop/patio area that can host intimate outdoor ceremonies.
